Here are some of the most frequently asked questions to help you with any queries you may have. If you need further clarification, please contact us.

What are the check in and check out times?
Bedrooms are available from 4:00pm on arrival day and we please ask you vacate your room by 10:00am on the day of your departure. We are happy to store your luggage if you wish to stay longer to enjoy the grounds. We will endeavour to prepare rooms as quickly as possible, but this is not always practical. If you plan to arrive after 5:00pm please advise us so we can notify the duty staff.

Are Towels and Linen provided?
Yes - All bedrooms are already made up, and towels are provided in your room (Bath Sheet, Hand Towel and Bath mat) along with shower gel. Are all bedrooms en suite? Most bedrooms are en suite with the exception of: one single room (room 20) and two twin rooms (Rooms 21 & 22) Bathrooms are nearby.

Are there Tea and Coffee making facilities in the bedrooms?
Yes -All bedrooms have hospitality trays, these can be replenished each evening.

Do you have internet access?
Yes - Wireless internet is available, but please note the signal strength will vary throughout the building.

Do you accept credit / debit cards?

We now have the facility to take payments by card, and can do this either by telephone or in person.

 

Is a deposit required?
Yes - All bookings must be confirmed with a deposit and completed booking form. The deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another booking. The following deposits apply:

Group- Residential: £100 per night

Group- Day conference up to 15 guests:£50

           -Day conference more than 15 guests £100

Individual Residential Guest: £50.00

Bookings are not complete until you have received confirmation from Foxhill.

What is your cancellation Policy?
We urge you to read through our booking terms and conditions carefully before making a booking and ensure that you take out the appropriate insurance to cover your stay or the event of a cancellation. Sadly, we have to apply charges for all cancellations. We are a charity, and late cancellations result in a financial loss to Foxhill as well as depriving others of the opportunity to attend.

Do you have facilities for those with limited mobility?
Yes - We make every effort to meet the needs of all our guests however our building and facilities do have certain limitations. Foxhill offers two disabled car parking spaces and ramp access into the side of the building. We also have lift access to the first floor meeting room and down to the chapel. There is good access to all ground floor meeting rooms, and the main upstairs meeting room. If you have difficulty with stairs, please tell us at the time of booking. We have 2 twin en-suite rooms with facilities required for those with limited mobility. We are unable to offer care ourselves, so we ask that you bring your own carer if you will need this attention and we will offer your carer a 25% discount. If you need to bring a guide dog, please let us know at the time of booking.

Is there mobile phone signal at Foxhill?

Due to the rural location of Foxhill the phone signal for mobile phones is very poor, if you manage to receive any signal at all. It is possible for you to make emergency calls from one of our phones. If you need to make a more private call then this can be arranged by speaking to one of our staff on duty.

 

Is the cost of the meeting room included in the cost per person for group / conference rooms?
Yes - One main meeting room will be allocated to your group depending on the size of the group and nature of your event. Should you require use of additional meeting rooms, these may be available to you but may also incur an additional charge. Additional meeting rooms must be agreed at the point of booking.

Do ​you cater for vegetarians and special diets?​

​Our kitchen staff are trained and will be happy to meet any special dietary requirements you may have.

Please clearly indicate this at the time of booking, either on the booking form itself, or by phoning the Foxhill team if you feel it requires further discussion.

What are the meal arrangements?
Breakfast is usually 08:30am; Coffee 10:30am; Lunch 1:00pm; Tea 4:00pm, Dinner 6:30pm. If you are a group booking and wish to have meals / refreshments at different times, please let us know prior to your arrival.

Conference and large groups will all be seated together, and we invite individual guests to sit together around tables with other guests.

How many can be accommodated for a Residential Stay?
Foxhill has 22 bedrooms, consisting of 2 twin en-suite rooms with disability access, 16 single en-suite, 1 single and 2 twin bedrooms with bathrooms nearby. In addition to this we have the Halfpenny Suite, containing a double bed and 2 single sofa beds, along with a kitchenette and bathroom. If single occupancy of bedrooms is required the maximum number of residents that can be accommodated is 22. If some people are willing to share rooms we can accommodate 27 people overnight.

Is exclusive use of the Centre available?

Yes - Exclusive use of the house is available to residential bookings where a minimum of 20 places are booked and paid for, and should be agreed at the time of booking. If you require exclusive use for a day conference, please discuss your needs with Foxhill.

Is Foxhill open all year round?
Foxhill Conference Centre is normally closed to bookings for three weeks in August (to allow for essential maintenance to be carried out). We also close for one week at Christmas, and currently UK bank holidays. Are Children Welcome? Children are always very welcome at Foxhill and there is plenty of space to run around, but we do ask that they be accompanied by an adult at all times, as there are a few hazards around the grounds, such as our pond.

Do you charge a single supplement?
No - When all single rooms have been booked, we do not charge a supplement for single occupancy of a twin room. If you wish to reserve a specific twin room for single occupancy when a single room is available, then a supplement will be payable. Two of the twin rooms are DDA compliant, we will not charge a supplement if you require one of the DDA rooms and are single occupancy.

Can we bring dogs to Foxhill?
Unfortunatley dogs are not permited in Foxhill House, although they may visit the woodland.

 We are confident dogs will behave and enjoy the grounds but we ask a few ground rules:

Kept on a lead at all times

Ensure all dog mess is promptly and properly disposed off

Dogs must not be kept locked in cars

Aggressive dogs are not permitted in the grounds

 

 

Some useful things to note...

Foxhill is strictly No Smoking

There is no (or very limited) mobile phone signal

Please bring appropriate foot wear if you wish to walk in the woodland.

 

Car Parking

We have two car parks, one to the right of the main entrance (The Arboretum Car Park) and one at the top of the hill outside the Conference Centre.

Public Transport

Foxhill is within easy reach of two railway stations, namely Frodsham and Helsby. Both stations are about 5 minutes taxi ride from either station (about £5 per journey). Taxis are available on the main road in Frodsham or can be booked via 01928 733 733 (District Taxis)

There are regular bus services into and out of Frodsham. The Centre is best reached by travelling to Frodsham then taking a taxi to the Centre itself.

This is the title of a regular day at Foxhill to be held every second Monday starting in February 2017.

The days are for people from all walks of life:

Look: at the beauty of creation; at the world around you; at your own life.

Listen: to what God is saying to you today.

Cost: £21 including lunch and refreshments
